The Sustainable Food Systems project of the London Training Centre is well positioned to strengthen our local food economy.

The main objective is to develop a holistic plan to identify the assets, resources, strategies and tools needed to support the value-added agricultural business sector.

The goal is to grow, process and consume wholesome, tasty, nutritious food from local sources. Value-added and alternative agriculture will be keys to restoring resilient communities and ensuring quality of life.

A sustainable agriculture does not deplete soils or people. quoteWendell Berry

To start the process, we will engage a broad range
of food system stakeholders across Midwestern Ontario in collaborative discussions to create a shared-value, diverse and ecologically sustainable food system plan.

A sustainable agriculture is ecologically sound, economically viable, socially just and humane.
